Things I’m Loving

This book is really challenging my thoughts about what I think is healthy and what is not. It's also inspiring me to do keep it more real and homemade, though!

This awesome "trapper keeper" that holds all my essential oils! My mom brought it down for me when they visited.

This is what I was using before----a dingy old shoe box.

Microgreens! So easy and such an easy and fun way to get more vitamins. You can go here to read a little about it and go here to order a kit. We just plant some veggies seeds like broccoli and radish, wait a few days until they look like this, then snip them off onto our salads, soups, or whatever. They are very tasty and super nutritious! (another thing from my mom)

I always cringe when I have to use cooking spray for my waffle maker or when making muffins. I can't stop thinking about all the chemicals it must be made of. So, again--thanks Mom!---I feel much better about this organic coconut spray oil. It does have soy lecithin but it states under the ingredients that it doesn't have chlorofluoracarbons...don't worry--I don't know what that is either but I'm sure it's bad.

I’m sure this is not correct blogger etiquette but…oh well. To read about microgreens go to http://www.microgreensusa.com/ and to order a kit go to http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/kit/microgreens.html

  2. Wow that essintial oil holder is soooo cool!!! I’m going to look into the micro greens thing too. What other NT stuff have you been doing?

Hey, I have to say , it made me feel good to know that some of those crazy things and ideas that I bring with me, you actually do like! So, I guess you’re still doing microgreens? At work, Katie and I just pick up the pots and chew them off like animals. Sort of uncouth – I could totally see your girls liking that. Oops, not because they’re uncouth – because they’re silly.

Charlsie–the only thing I’ve been conistently doing still is soaking nuts and grains. We’re not eating meat right now but once we start again (in a few weeks) I am looking forward to trying more things. OH and I’m loading the girls up on tons of butter and coconut oil and fatty stuff! :)
Mom—as I was writing this I was realizing I should have called it “Things my mom is into” Lol. Lauryn sits on the chair by the window and can polish off a pot of them before I even notice!!!! Little stinker :)
